THE COLUMBIAN SQUIRES


The Columbian Squires is the youth organization of the Knights of Columbus.


It all started when Brother Barnabas MsDonald, F.S.C. was charged to have a junior organization. The purpose of the youth organization is to train young catholic men for the leadership and have their skills enhance. The charge and plan was then came to reality during the 43rd Annual Meeting of the Knights of Columbus at the Duluth, Minesota. The first investiture took place on August 4, 1925. The circle's name was "Barnabas Cirlce no.1", sponsored by Duluth Council no. 447.


The circle in Dasmariñas was chartered last 16th of September 1983. It started with 21 charter members, which later became part of the council members. The circle was named after Gobernador Heneral Perez de Dasmariñas, and it is the 3,320th circle that was established all over the globe. Today, the circle has 60 members and some of them are ready to be part of their own council, La Immaculada Concepcion Council No. 8451.
